~Small Group Studies~

edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ”

 UBC has embarked on a historical transition. We have moved to small group studies in order to address the individual spiritual needs of the congregation. As we move from traditions to new and uncharted territories, keep in mind that change is never comfortable but necessary in order to grow.

Church School at Study is moving from the traditional place on Sunday Mornings to Tuesday nights. The reason for the move is to:
· Awaken the spiritual minds in order to promote growth

· Provide teaching for every age level and area of life

· To engage the community by offering a fresh perspective on studying God’s Word

· Edify and encourage one another

· Promote learning amongst the group members that will overflow into the church body, community, nation, and internationally.

The Small Group Study is a 10 week in-depth study of what Scripture teaches about money and possessions. Graduates have confirmed that marriages are being strengthened and individuals are finding their way out of debt. They are also becoming consistent savers, generous givers, and prudent consumers. Most importantly, people are entering into a closer relationship with Jesus Christ as they learn to apply His Word. Groups meet every week and meetings include Scripture memorization and interactive discussions.

• Health and wellness is not only essential to enjoying the fullness of life, but a Christian’s responsibility. This group study will focus on how to get back to the healthy state God meant for you to live and enjoy. Members will focus on supporting each others’ goals to a healthier physical, as well as, spiritual state.

• Adult Bible Quarterly is not just for Sunday’s anymore….We’re moving to Tuesday nights where a group study will focus on the traditional teachings of the National Baptist Convention Sunday School curriculum. 

• Ages 12-19 will be enriched through lessons on Christ, Character, Community, Covenant, Consecration, and Commission. In lessons that speak their language and engage their thoughts.

• The Tutorial Ministry will be available for those students needing help with school work.

• Christian Training for Public Speaking—Basic Skill sets.
   

Worried About Tuesday Evenings?
Don’t worry...Youth will receive a meal and refreshments will be provided for all.
