~Pastor & Mrs. Sylvester Hunter~

Rev. Dr. Sylvester Hunter became "Senior Pastor" in 1998 after the retirement of Rev. Dr. Clyde D. Adams.

Rev. Adams held the position of "Senior Pastor" for 48 years.

Rev. Hunter wisely knew that for the church to continue to fulfill God's plan, he had to bridge the church's old time traditions with today’s technologies to deliver God’s message to the next generation.

Originally from Pensacola, Florida, Rev. Hunter studied at Wiley College of Marshall, Texas and Houston Bible College. The Lord led the Hunter family to Ft. Wayne, IN, where Rev. Hunter served as assistant to the pastor of Union Baptist as he completed his education at Garrett Theological Seminary at Northwestern University and Concordia Theological Seminary, Ft. Wayne.

He received his Honorary Doctorate of Divinity Degree from  St. Thomas Christian College of Jacksonville, Florida.
